Here is an example of a typical email scam. 
Variation 1: the scammer will either send you a check for you to deposit and then send a check back to them from your account.
Since it's an international bank, it may take more than a few days to show up as a fictitious bank account.  Usually after the victim has already sent a check from their legitimate bank account.
Variation 2:
Scammer requests your bank account to transfer the money into.  You can just imagine what a scammer might do after they have your name, information and bank account info.
